Custom Characters

Hello everyone!

A huge update has come to Trist! Before we get into that, though (if you haven't guessed from the title of this post), let's talk about some other updates.

First, can we all give a big "hello" to Karen? Joining the cast in this update, Karen is a video game streamer who keeps mostly to herself. She oftentimes wears bandages to cover up her burns, but she can be seen without them if she gets more comfortable with people (hint: that means you).

There were numerous updates in the game itself as well, though. I attempted to make the game more color-blind friendly, swapping up colors and adding some icons to try and make blocks a bit more distinguishable from each other and from the board itself. This is, no doubt, a work in progress, but I hope this is a step in the right direction for accessibility!

I also added pagination to the Credits and Settings page. Oh yeah, and I added a Settings page. From here, you can turn girls on or off to your heart's content. Well... There's a 25 girl maximum. That's the most the UI can allow without getting all kinds of wonky. But why do I need pagination when there are only 7 girls in the game? I'm SO GLAD you asked!

I have added the ability to create custom characters! Now you can create your own artwork and dialogue to go on dates with the characters of your dreams! Just download the available mod-tutorial.zip file to get started!

And it wouldn't be an update without some bug stories. Adding custom characters led to a LOT of costuming issues. Previously, I thought I had prevented girls from greeting you naked at the start of a game. NOT SO, APPARENTLY! But NOW I have! It turns out if you forget to tell a girl you're not currently having sex with her, she might think you are currently having sex with her and show up naked in places she wasn't supposed to be.

On top of all that, though, we also had some issues with girls attempting to put clothes back on just as they reached the precipice of enthusiasm in bed. That has also been fixed, so you don't need to worry about people getting dressed and running before the big moment.
