A Touch Of Horror

It's been quite a while, I know. I survived my first ever convention season! Maintaining my Bowsette cosplay between LA Anime Expo and another convention, along with a dash of wedding planning, made time a tight commodity. Add in my serial laziness and you have a recipe for disaster. But you're not here to hear my excuses!

A lot of this release's upgrades are under the hood. I'm working on making the dialogue engine far more powerful. While they're mostly unused as of now, backgrounds have tags that will be used when picking possible outfits for dates, or dialogue to say! The characters will be able to dress or speak differently when it's day or night, at the beach or in the club! Exciting times coming up!

So what's new in this release? I'm glad you asked!

The biggest update, as apparent by the banner on this post, is a new character, Kikyo! Perfect timing with Halloween coming up, as our oft-misunderstood new girl gives off some spooky vibes, whether she means to or not! It might have something to do with the abandoned amusement park she calls home, but don't quote me on that!

Additional Changes:

• Noel has a new bikini! In the future, this will only be available where swimsuits would normally be worn, but I'll give you a headstart
• Modded characters with alternate outfits can now specify a list of names for their outfits, rather than that pesky "Alternate 1" business!
• Izobel's sprites got a nice facelift
• Saving now is more consistent when it comes to outfits you've unlocked
• A few more pixel art icons! (Man I need to get back into that...)

I also am starting some development streams on Mixer! Username "deipfei" of course! And wouldn't you know it? That pesky "showing up on dates naked" bug reared its ugly head again... Just when you think it's dead, it comes back again...
